The Initial consultation is free and will be used to determine if this kind of work is something you both want to do and possess some capability of doing. Upon determining if this is right for you, the next step will involve one to two more sessions of building rapport and learning more about your specific situation and what is particularly troubling you before deciding on more sessions. Sessions are one to two hours in length.

We cannot point specifically to all of the things that will take place during our sessions since that will be determined by the individual person, their unique story, what they are wanting to work on, and what comes up during the course of our sessions.
That said, we can say in general terms that an emphasis will be placed on being present to the situation, cultivating self-awareness, self-honesty, and on gradually cultivating a practice of stillness, i.e., being able to sit comfortably and simply be with one’s self and with what arises emotionally. We will gradually work on the body directly through establishing better breathing, a strong and stable posture, and efficient movement.
We work with the body in order to reestablish the body’s natural coping mechanisms that have often become covered up due to long periods of stress, tension, trauma, and prolonged states of “fight, flight, or freeze.” A certain emphasis will also be placed on improving posture, along with mobility, and expression.
We will cultivate an ability to walk in the direction of pain and fear in order to transform it into something more wholesome. There is a particular emphasis on trying to understand one’s environmental context growing up, and how one’s parent’s, culture, and society negatively and positively created the person you came to be compared to the person you want to be.
With this practice you have the opportunity to work directly on confronting what is troubling you in an open space. The openness of the space in which we work symbolizes the open possibility of the life you wish to create; one grounded in the body and supported by a healthy mind, and spirit.
Our goal is to cultivate self-awareness that allows one to move back into the body to release tensions and any corresponding thought patterns which prevent a person from feeling, owning, and expressing their bodies natural aliveness and vitality. It is from such a place that the individual then goes on to live and love without desperation or fear.
